Silver Dust Dusty Miller Seeds

SKU: SFS-DU-SIL-ER
Our ‘Silver Dust’ Dusty Miller Seed yields a silvery-foliaged plant with slightly smaller leaves than Cirrus. Silver Dust mounds nicely and is a bit fancier as well, having leaves that are more finely cut than other varieties, giving it a decidedly lacy appearance. Heat and drought tolerant, its foliage graces xeriscaping and offers protection to lower growing plants that are sensitive to the heat. Silver Dust will provide color when summer’s heat has drained other plants, or when the blooming is done, but unseasonal warm weather remains. Approximately 150 seeds per each hand-filled packet. Silver Dust Dusty Miller Seeds Growing Information

Dusty Miller Seeds can be directly sown into your garden 2 to 3 weeks before the last frost date. Sowing them indoors will give you an early start and should be accomplished 6 to 8 weeks prior to the last frost date for your area. Dusty Miller will tolerate a little crowding, though the final thinning or distance between plants should be 10 to 12-inches. Cover the seeds lightly with soil when planting and keep them consistently moist until the first sprouts appear. In areas with warm winters, you can start Dusty Miller in the fall, though partial afternoon shade may see better results than full sun in those same areas.
