Peaches 'n Dreams Hollyhock Seeds Growing Information

Hollyhock seeds will easily self-sow, which also means they are fairly easy to germinate. If starting outdoors, plant them in late summer and plan to see sprouts the following spring. If starting indoors, you can start seedlings in the winter, using seed trays or pots with at least a 6-inch depth to accommodate the long tap root. You can, of course, sow them in smaller seed trays, transplanting them into deeper pots once you are assured of successful germination and growth. Transplant outdoors after the last projected frost date for your area and when your seedlings at least have their first true leaves. When transplanting, dig at least 12-inches down, loosening the soil throughout the planting hole, enabling that long tap root to stretch deep and get a good hold. Try not to disturb the tap root, either using peat pots and replanting the whole pot, or carefully removing all of the soil in the pot, along with the plant, without breaking the soil apart. You may or may not have blossoms the first year, but you can definitely count on tons of gorgeous color for every subsequent year!

Comment: I always want a green thumb and this will give me the chance to start. Great instruction with the Peaches n Dreams Hollyhock seed, just waiting on the yield.
