Lady First Lady African Marigold Seeds

SKU: SFS-MAR-LADFILA-ER
Our ‘Lady First Lady’ African Marigold Seed can be called First Lady or Lady First, the confusion being that the series is actually called “Lady” as well. A standard sized African marigold; First Lady will average 20-inches, but has been known to grow as tall as 30-inches when she’s incredibly happy in her environment. Her blossoms are clear, bright yellow and measure up to 3-inches across, held proudly and well above the foliage. The seeds are de-tailed for easier planting. Approximately 25 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Simply plant them about 1/4-inch deep and cover them lightly with vermiculite, keeping them moist until germination. Thin the African marigolds to about 12-inches apart and the French marigolds to 6 to 10-inches, depending upon the variety. Marigolds will self-sow year to year, so though considered an annual; you should not have to plant them every year unless you deadhead prior to their going to seed in order to control their growth.
