White Dutch Clover Seed

A universal perennial clover, White Dutch Clover seed is used by everyone from home-owners to cattle ranchers. Maturing at between 4 and 8 inches, when planted mixed with lawn seed or as a companion to pasture grasses, your use of chemical nitrogen will decrease, as will the weeds in your lawn or pasture. White Dutch Clover grows vigorously, even in the poorest soils, such as that around new home construction, probably because nodules on the plants’ roots literally “grab” nitrogen out of the air, putting it right into the soil. Just scatter the seeds, anytime and anywhere, even where nothing else will grow, keep the seed moist until it sprouts, and voila!-beneficial, winter hardy White Dutch Clover.

The recommended seeding rate is 8 to 12 pounds per acre if planted alone or only 1 to 2 pounds per acre if planted with hay or pasture grasses.
