radiance alfalfa seedThe 'HD' in Radiance HD Alfalfa stands for 'High Digestibility', and is a hybrid alfalfa bred specifically for its outstanding forage quality, fast post-harvest regrowth and its higher yields, all of critical importance to cash crop alfalfa producers and beef or dairy cattle ranchers.


Radiance HD Alfalfa is treated and coated with Apron XL™ and LS, as well as being pre-inoculated with rhizobium, a bacteria required by alfalfa to grow and which does not occur naturally in the soil. Having a high resistance to Anthracnose, Aphanomyces Race 1, Phytophthora Root Rot and to Bacterial and Fusarium Wilt, Radiance HD Alfalfa produces dark green, leafy plants protected from fungi with Apron XL & LS, which ensures a more abundant stand with improved yields, whether using reduced tillage, zero-tillage or conservation tillage methods.


Suggested seeding rate is 15-25 pounds per acre. This dense planting will do away with weed competition, naturally ensuring higher yields and less time and money spent on weed control. During the seedling year, the plants should start to bloom before harvest; then, cut the stand three or four times a year, always when the stand is at least 25% in flower.
