Heucherella Plants are normally planted for color! Color! Color!—though the flowers are also attractive and will attract butterflies, hummingbirds and those beneficial honey bees. Heucherella, pronounced hew-ker-REL-uh, are also sometimes called Foamy Bells because these hybrids are a cross between Coral Bells and Foam Flowers, the Heucherera and Tiarella, respectively. Heucheralla make good edging or container plants and with the new species, fantastic spreading groundcovers. For the best color they should have afternoon shade.
