The Asti Osteospermum series was bred to withstand extreme heat and to be drought tolerant, as well as to withstand light frosts. Also known as African Daisies or Cape Daisies, these purple and white daisy-like flowers grow from 2 to 3-inches in diameter and will bloom all season long, well into the fall or early winter in some climates.
The Asti series is very adaptable to almost any climate and is considered a “high” performer, rewarding your little bit of attention with vibrant, abundant blossoms whether planted in a container or in your flower beds. Deadheading will ensure continued blooming; however, don’t forget to cut a few to bring indoors and add to mixed fresh arrangements. Even a single African Daisy in a bud vase brings gladness to a room.
