Onion seedlings are very slow growing. If you are starting your onion seeds indoors, they should be started 16 weeks before your last average frost date. Seeds germination temperature should remain between 70 and 90 degrees. It takes 4-10 days for seeds to sprout. If the tops start to flop before you are ready to transplant, use a scissors and cut them back to 4 inches tall. The cuttings can be used in salads, stews, and soups. Transplants can be put into the garden as soon as the soil is workable. Each plant produces 1 onion.
To ensure both freshness and quality, we hand-fill every onion seed packet.
