Once youve eaten Mrs Millers Jam, youll understand why these recipes have been handed down through generations. These delicious Homemade Jams and Jellies are made by an Old Order Amish family, the Millers, right on their farm in Ohio. In case you aren't sure whether you want jam or jelly, we recommend trying both. They're each good for different reasons. In general, jelly is clear and bright, with a firm texture. It holds its shape, like gelatin. Jellies are cooked and strained, so none of the fruit pieces remain. Jam, on the other hand, usually contains some of the crushed or chopped fruit pieces, and has more of a pureed consistency. Although the texture isn't chunky, there is more body, more of the pulpy quality of the fresh fruit. All of Mrs Miller's Jam and Jellies are made from fresh, all-natural ingredients with no artificial preservatives. |
