Larkspur Flower Seeds

Our Larkspur Flower Seeds produce a perennial, annual or biennial flowering plant growing in tall, stately spires of complex-looking and quite beautiful blossoms, sometimes compared to an orchid in their complexity.

The larkspur belongs to the buttercup family and is also called Delphinium, pronounced del-FIN-ee-um, both in the scientific and gardening community, though to be correct, the delphinium is normally the perennial variety, while the larkspur, the annual variety, has been moved to the genus Consolida. July’s birth flower, it is also representative of “fickleness”, probably due to the fact that there are few genetic barriers to prevent intercrossing, meaning that species of larkspur have been known to hybridize in any different number of combinations. If you want to keep your delphinium pure, plant the different cultivars widely apart; maybe separated into the front and the back yard. As with all flowering plants, a healthy diet is important. We highly recommend Espoma Flower-tone® or Jungle Flora, both of which are approved for organic gardening, are formulated for blooming plants and are safe for use around your family and pets, as well as being safe for the environment.

Each order of our fresh Larkspur seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.
