Hedera plants bring lush green color, variegated excitement and space-filling foliage to hanging baskets. It is widely used as a ground cover. This popular foliage will readily grow in shaded areas where grass doesn't thrive.
Hedera, pronounced HED-er-uh, commonly called English Ivy, is very adaptable and grows fast, possibly becoming invasive in the most ideal situations. If you need to restrict its spread, simply plant it within the confines of partially buried border edging. The roots are shallow, so aggressive restriction is not necessary.
