Geranium Flower Seeds produce both perennial and annual types of geraniums including those considered “biennials”. Arguably, one of the most common flowering plants around; the same one that most of us will remember in the gardens of our great grandmothers, grandmothers and mothers, some of the newest cultivars barely resemble the “true” geranium at all.
Geranium, pronounced jer-AY-nee-um, flower seed can produce plants with either single or double blossoms, all of which will normally have green foliage, some foliage being colored in cooler temperatures. The leaves are usually fan-shaped and rounded or elongated and cut with some varieties having unusual fragrances, such as that of roses, oranges, apples and even peppermint. The original and most common Geranium fragrance is actually kind of spicy and very recognizable. Used in beds, window boxes, deck boxes, containers, as borders and even as flowering hedges, geraniums perform best when allowed to dry out between waterings.
Water-soluble, slow release fertilizers are the best way to feed most blooming plants. If grown in containers, their need for good nutrition is even higher. We recommend Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are approved for organic gardening and are safe for your family, pets, livestock and water habitats, as well as being specially formulated for blooming plants.
Each order of our fresh Geranium seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.
