Chrysanthemum Flower Seeds

Our Chrysanthemum Flower seeds yield annual chrysanthemums that are often strikingly beautiful but that are just as often overlooked for their perennial cousins. You will find flower colors, like white, often zoned with jewel-like colors that you cannot possibly find in the perennial chrysanthemum world.

Chrysanthemum, pronounced kris-ANTH-eh-mum, and often shortened to “Mum”, has recently been renamed by taxonomists, though they will probably always be lumped with their perennial relatives. There are two kinds of annual chrysanthemums, their common names being Tricolor daisy and Crown daisy. The crown daisy will most often be yellow, keeping with the warm perennial colors, but the tricolor daisy will be different colors, usually with bright bands of color around very dark and decorative centers. Both are native to the Mediterranean, generally bloom earlier and longer and have brighter colors.  As with all bloomers, they will perform their best on a regular feeding schedule. We recommend Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and specially formulated for blooming plants.

Each order of our fresh Chrysanthemum seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.

Snowland Chrysanthemum Flower Seeds

Price $3.48

Our ‘Snowland’ Chrysanthemum Flower Seed is a dwarf-ish variety of annual chrysanthemum and is also called Snowland Daisy. Growing to just 6-inches tall, this diminutive plant produces snowy-white blossoms barely over 1-inch in diameter, but with large, noticeable, golden yellow, pillowed-cone eyes. Flowering from early summer up to the first frost, plant these around your perennial mums to provide color until the late bloomers decide to make their appearance. If you’ve never grown the annual chrysanthemums, this is one of the easiest to grow and will look good with just about anything! Approximately 50 seeds per each hand-filled packet.
