Organic Cabbage Seed

Each packet of Certified Organic Cabbage Seed has approximately 200 seeds, which plants a 300-foot row and produces approximately 200 heads of fresh lettuce.

Cabbage is frost tolerant, so can actually be one of your first crops in the ground. A minimum soil temperature of 40°F is required, so consider a soil thermometer if sowing directly into the garden soil. Cabbage can also be germinated indoors with temperatures between 40°F and 85°F. Under the correct conditions, it takes 4-8 days for the cabbage seed to germinate. Seeds should be started 6 weeks before your transplant date.

In order to grow the healthiest; best tasting cabbage, the pH level of your garden soil should be about 7.0. A soil tester will take the guess work out of determining the pH levels.
