Castle Orange Celosia Flower Seeds

SKU: SFS-CE-CASO-ER
Our ‘Castle Orange’ Celosia Flower Seed is a stand-out color in the world of cockscomb. Not yellow, but not quite orange either, it is a mixture of both, that combined with the feathery plume, can only make you think “hot”. And hot is how the Castle series likes it! Both drought and heat tolerant, even through the hottest August, this cockscomb will continue to shine while others blossoms wilt. Approximately 75 seeds per each hand-filled packet. More details...

Castle Orange Celosia Flower Seeds

As celosia seed and weed seeds tend to germinate at about the same time, it is suggested that you start seedlings in individual cells indoors. One of our seed starting kits or germination stations will ensure the best results due to the controlled habitat. Celosia seedlings started indoors will have a better chance of survival when competing with the potential weeds. Lightly cover the seeds with soil and keep consistently moist. If planting outside, nighttime temperatures should be between 60 and 70°F with daytime temps between 80 and 85°F. We also recommend a plant and seed blanket to provide adequate, consistent humidity and to maintain temperatures. Plant seeds in the ground 4-6” apart, thinning to 8-12”.
