Bougainvilleas are tropical, vining plants that produce vibrant colors on special leaves called bracts, which change color while maturing. If grown in the right climate, they will flower most of the year!
Bougainvillea plants, pronounced boo-gan-VEEL-yee-uh, commonly called Paper Flower, are beautiful when grown in containers, hanging baskets, along fence lines or on walls. Although it is frost-sensitive, it can be brought inside during the winter months and grown as a house plant.
