Achillea Flower Seeds produce masses of tiny flowers in clusters of blossoms atop foliage that is finely cut and fern-like. Hummingbirds and butterflies will arrive in droves, and as the plants seed, the song birds will be at the buffet. Achillea, pronounced ak-ill-EE-uh, is more commonly called Yarrow, with a sprawling growth habit that can be allowed to grow naturally or pruned for a more formal look. Drought tolerant and deer resistant, it is best to plant Achillea where they are sheltered from strong winds and to cut back the spent blossoms in order to ensure more flowers in the fall. Achillea flower seeds need light for germination so plant the seeds on top of the soil, gently tamping down and then watering carefully until they’ve sprouted. For the best performance while in bloom we recommend regular feeding with Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are organically rich and formulated for blooming plants. Each order of our fresh Achillea seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality. |
