The Red Tomato Tray has a slit in the front that allows you to wrap it around your tomato plants that are already in the ground, no more hole to stick the stem through! Simply slide the Red Tomato Tray Automator around any vine plant and push the spikes, which will give the fertilizer a direct route to the plant roots, into the ground until the top of the tray is flush with the ground. Fill the 4 spikes with a fertilizer, we recommend Espoma Tomato Tone, and the tray with water. The plant itself can be watered through the empty area surrounding the plant. The spikes will need to be refilled with fertilizer when they become empty. The Red Tomato Tray has a 1 year warranty with the manufacturer. If taken care of properly, this product should last 3-4 planting seasons.
