Each packet of Certified Organic Pumpkin Seed has approximately 15 seeds, which plants a 16' row and produces approximately 64-pounds.

Pumpkin seed can be planted directly into the garden soil in warmer climates or started indoors where spring comes later. When germinating pumpkin seed indoors, or out, soil temperatures should be between 60-100�F. Under the correct conditions, it normally takes 4-8 days for pumpkin seed to germinate. Seeds should be started 3 weeks before your transplant date.

Pumpkin seeds are smart and know which way is up, so don�t worry about how to put them in the ground. They should be planted 3-4 seeds per three foot diameter mound. Plant in the center and dig a moat around the hill to help retain moisture for the roots. Pumpkins s p r a w l so make sure you have plenty of room. A single vine can grow as long as 30-feet but you can prune or train it to grow where you want.

In order to grow the healthiest; best tasting pumpkins, the recommended pH level of your garden soil should be 6.0-6.5. A soil tester will take the guess work out of determining the pH levels.

Big Max Pumpkin Seed Packet

Big Max Pumpkins are ginormous pumpkins that can grow up to 100 pounds or more and be up to 70-inches in diameter. Their bright orange skin surrounds 4-inches of hearty, yellow-orange flesh. This variety is great for canning or freezing and they make excellent pies and very impressive jack-o-lanterns.

Caspers are a white skinned ornamental pumpkin with sweet orange flesh. This variety produces fruit averaging around 10 to 15-pounds and is considered perfect for baking or for pies. The creamy white, smooth skin is also a favorite for decorative painting and the kids get a kick out of growing pumpkins with such an unusual color.

Cinderella Pumpkin Seed Packet

The Cinderella Pumpkin is an ornamental novelty pumpkin. This variety produces deeply ridged, flattened fruits weighing 25-30 lbs. The smooth skin is deep orange, while the thick, sweet flesh is moist and similar in texture to custard. This pumpkin is exceptionally good when prepared and eaten as a winter squash, but also lends itself well to pumpkin pies and uniquely shaped jack-o-lanterns.

Jack O� Lantern Pumpkin Seed Packet

This smaller pumpkin is the perfect pie variety. The fine-grained, meaty, sweet flesh is enclosed in an almost perfectly round, lightly ribbed, orange rind.
