Sanvitalia Flower Seeds

Sanvitalia Flower Seeds are an annual flowering plant, its flower so closely resembling a zinnia; it is called a Creeping Zinnia. The blossoms are never large, but are normally so abundant as to almost completely obscure the foliage, unless planted in partial shade, where they will adapt and flourish, but with less prolific blooming.

Sanvitalia, pronounced san-vĭ-TAL-ee-yuh, is tolerant of almost all garden conditions and though normally having yellow blossoms, newer cultivars are being developed, bringing differently-colored petals and eyes to your landscape and containers. The daisy-like blossoms on trailing foliage softens hard lines, naturalizes more formal beds and works well in hot, dry conditions, such as along driveways and in rock gardens. Our customers report they love to plant it with Moss Roses, Pansies and Zinnias, this latter being particularly pleasing as the upright form of the true zinnia and their close resemblance create an architecturally beautiful planting. As with most blooming plants, good nutrition will result in the best performance, especially for those plants grown in containers where plants will more quickly use up the available nutrients. We recommend Jungle Flora or Espoma Flower-tone®, both of which are approved for organic gardening and are safe for your family, pets, livestock and water habitats, as well as being specially formulated for blooming plants.

Each order of our fresh Sanvitalia seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality.
