Renovator Special Mix performs well for multiple harvest schemes including green-chop, haylege, and grazing. Renovator Special is endophyte-free. The blend consists of 50% Tonga ryegrass, 25% Feast II tetraploid annual ryegrass, and 25% Duo Festulolium.


According to Penn State University and many farmers, cows prefer to eat tetraploid ryegrass over diploid varieties. Duo is a cross between a perennial tetraploid ryegrass and Meadow Fescue. Tonga is a tetraploid ryegrass.


The grasses that make up Renovator Special Mix are easily established and can be frost-seeded, no-tilled, or overseeded into established fields. Take caution to not plant the seed more than 1/4" deep. Each of these grasses establishes quickly, but weed control and proper management on initial grazings is vital to stand establishment.


Use 20-25 lbs. per acre over poor pastures or new seedling. Use 10-15 lbs. per acre over fair to good pastures. Dairy, beef, and sheep producers, along with horse owners can all benefit from using Pasture Perfect Renovator Special Mix.
