The pH level of your soil will determine how much nutrients the tomato plants can absorb from the soil.

The NPK levels of your soil determines how much plant food and supplements you should be using. This will save you from over or under applying fertilizer.

N is Nitrogen, P is Phosphorous, and K is Potassium.
