Astilbe Plants

Astilbe Plants have fuzzy plumes of fascinating, distinct flower spires that add interesting dimension and color, when just blooming and when drying on their stalks.

Astilbe, pronounced uh-STILL-bee, also commonly called False Spirea, are easy to maintain with no staking or deadheading required. Astilbe plants should be cut back in the spring or when the weather knocks the stalks over. Divide in the spring every 4-5 years. This perennial flower thrives in full shade to partial sun, preferring consistently moist conditions when planted in full sun.  Astilbe is deer resistant.
