Their delicately sweet flavor and tender texture make them a favorite for fresh eating, canning and freezing. Peas thrive in cool temperatures, so plant them as early as soil can be worked in spring – then again in mid to late summer for a fall harvest. Harvest the pods when they become plump, then shell to reveal the tasty treasures inside. Progress #9 has 4-5" pods that hold 7-9 plump, delicious dark green peas.
