Peas are a climbing plant, so need a support for growth, though this variety does not require staking. You also might consider one of our newest products, trellis netting, which allows you to grow your peas in a configuration suited to your garden. Peas prefer moist, yet well-drained soil rich in organic material, so consider using a soaker hose on a timer, especially during dry and hot spells.
