The Nolana Flower Seeds originated in Chile and Peru, growing in the deserts and along the coastal regions. A succulent, most will have blue blossoms, though newer cultivars are producing different colors. A native perennial in Chile and Peru, these exotic blossoms have found a home in annual beds throughout most of the U.S. Nolana will grow in varied conditions, growing on low 1500 foot coastal slopes with almost constant rainfall and in somewhat dry areas where the drought can last 3 to 5 months, its saving grace the heavier winter moisture. It will almost always be found in full sunlight, though some are found on level areas of northward facing slopes, an indication Nolana will tolerate afternoon shade. Though not an extremely heavy feeder and being widely adaptable to harsh soils, it still takes a lot of energy to produce these pretty blossoms; we recommend a regular feeding with Espoma Flower-tone® or Jungle Flora, both of which are approved for organic gardening, are formulated for blooming plants and are safe for use around your family and pets, as well as being safe for the environment. Each order of our fresh Nolana seeds is filled by hand, put into a resealable plastic bag and then placed into a labeled seed packet. It is our goal to provide our customers the best in freshness and quality. |
