Grey Striped Sunflower

Our Grey Striped Sunflower Seed is a larger seed than the black oil variety and is high in protein, providing both migrating and resident wild birds with the energy necessary to maintain their health throughout the fall, winter and early spring, when other sources of protein are not available.

Grey-striped sunflower seeds, sometimes called “stripers”, have a thicker shell, making this wild bird food highly appealing to the larger birds, such as cardinals, jays, grosbeaks and woodpeckers, while medium-sized birds such as chickadees, goldfinches, titmice and nuthatches will also have no problem opening these shells. In fact, you can feed grey-striped sunflower seeds to your domestic parrot as well.
