Clover Seed

High in nitrogen, growing a cool-season clover along with your warm-season perennial grasses can dramatically reduce your need for costly chemically-based nitrogen. In fact, a four year Texas Ag Experiment Station study proved that growing clover was much more profitable than applying high amounts of nitrogen, resulting in a marked increase in young livestock’s average daily gain. Many smart ranchers are using clover as hay, chop, a cover crop and for forage. Clover seed performs well in a great range of soils and climates and grows especially prolifically when frequented by a honey bee population. Increased bee activity increases reseeding, resulting in future abundant clover yields.
