The 'Caspian Pink' Tomato Plant has an awesome flavor. Many tomato connoisseurs prefer the taste to that of other heirlooms. Fruits are mild yet sweet, and are large, meaty and succulent; therefore the Caspian Pink lends itself well to slicing for garnish or sandwiches. It is somewhat flatter (less rounded) than many tomato varieties, which provides a larger surface area for uniformly sized slices. The Caspian Pink was one of our most popular Heirloom Tomato Plants last year. The Caspian Pink Heirloom Tomato plant bears large beefsteak-type fruit in about 80 days with the average tomato weighing approximately 12 ounces. As with most tomatoes, the Caspian Pink ripens from the bottom up.
